Large scale chicken farming comes with challenges related to general logistics and chicken care. As the chicken weight being an indicator for chicken overall health, we offer a solution capable of estimating the weights of all chicken detected in an image using AI and Computer Vision technologies. This would most critically enable for the early detection of diseases and anomalies within a chicken batch and support overall farm management and the enhancement of farm productivity.
Reduce the cost and effort of human labor by automating the process of chicken weighing.
Prevent farm-scale spread of diseases by early anomaly detection.
Improve overall farm management efficiency using insights we provide.
We provide a solution that processes camera images and detects chicken and estimates their weights. Camera images are transmitted to a cloud platform and processed through a data pipeline we have in place. Data is first preprocessed to filter out defect images, and then stored in a data warehouse. Our weight estimation models process this data and provide a weight distribution that can be real-time accessed and monitored. In addition, a continuous learning framework is put in place to annotate new data and retrain the model and further improve its performance. It’s worth noting that as part of our overall offering, we provide the connected cameras via a 3rd party supplier and we manage the access to the cloud platform.
Based on the time-stamped weight distributions obtained, we provide the analytics that show whether the data indicates any anomalies or underlying diseases. This information is made available based on a pre-configured frequency.
Each detected chicken is provided a track ID which makes it possible to track the growth and health of chicken on an individual basis. This data could be either real-time processed and/or stored for archiving and offline-processing.
